I'm Just Kind of Putting Words on Paper

I’m not a poet

My words have no rhythm-

They have no flow

My verses aren’t a cadence-

There isn’t any meter

I can’t rhyme

My metaphors are stupid-

My similes are lame

There’s isn’t any pattern-

I don’t have a formula

I’m constantly stumbling over words

Trying to make them sound okay

They never do

I can’t write poems

I am no poet
